Mary Carroll

Mary Carroll is a retired M&A and private equity lawyer. She spent more than two decades at Akerman LLP, during which time she served as the national chair of the Corporate Practice Group and on the firm's Finance Committee. She has represented general partners, private equity funds, entrepreneurs and private and public companies in a variety of strategic and financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, private equity and venture capital investments, complex joint ventures and partnerships and related corporate matters. 

Mary has battled psoriatic arthritis for nearly 20 years. She joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and currently serves on the executive, finance, and audit & governance committees. She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
