Alicia O'Neal, Ph.D., M.Ed.

Director of Patient Centered Research

Alicia O'Neal is a mixed-methods clinical researcher with experience investigating a variety of therapeutic areas, including chronic disease (T2D, CVD, obesity), nutrition, maternal & child health, breast and cervical cancer, ADRD, and mental & behavioral health. O'Neal earned her B.S. from Cornell University, M.Ed. from Arizona State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas Medical Center. These academic experiences allowed her to fall in love with research and a collaborative approach to strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders. Throughout her career, O'Neal has brought a multidisciplinary approach to the advancement of health care, population health, health equity, (continuing) medical education, and research. Although an Indiana native, she currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She loves drinking good tea, staying active, exploring new restaurants, and reading.
