If your child exhibits self-destructive behaviors such as harming themselves or talks about committing suicide contact a counselor or get a referral to counseling from your health care provider or school counselor to help assess the issues as soon as possible.

If your child talks about committing suicide and is in imminent danger of harming themselves, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or sending a text to 988 or call 911.

Some areas have mobile crisis intervention services that will come directly to you.
