Orencia (abatacept)

Orencia is a biologic approved for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis in adults and children. 

What is Orencia

Orencia (also known by its generic name abatacept) is a biologic medication that was approved by the FDA in July 2017 for the treatment of adults with active psoriatic arthritis. In 2023 it was approved to treat children (2 years and older) living with psoriatic arthritis. It is also approved to treat rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Orencia may be given as an intravenous infusion in your doctor's office or as a self-administered injection under the skin. Please speak with your health care provider about the best way for you to receive Orencia.
