National Psoriasis Foundation President and CEO joins board of directors of the National Health Council

Last December, the National Health Council (NHC), an organization of 100 national health-related charities and businesses dedicated to people with chronic illnesses, named Randy Beranek, president and CEO of the National Psoriasis Foundation, to its board of directors for 2011.

Beranek joins six other executives from various health sectors as board members. The membership of the NHC also appointed five new officers.

As a board member, Beranek will represent the psoriasis community and help the NHC achieve its strategic priorities.

The National Health Council brings together all segments of the health care community to provide a unified voice for the more than 133 million people with chronic diseases and disabilities and their family caregivers. Its core membership includes approximately 50 of the nation's leading patient advocacy organizations, which control its governance. Other members include professional and membership associations; nonprofit organizations with an interest in health; and major pharmaceutical, medical device, health insurance and biotechnology companies.
