Painful, disabling, uncomfortable and embarrassing: Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis impact the lives of millions of Americans. Approximately 99,000 people in Los Angeles have psoriasis and up to 30,000 have psoriatic arthritis. For these Angelenos and everyone else across the U.S. struggling with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis, we must find a cure.
The priority of the National Psoriasis Foundation Los Angeles Division is to give people the information and services they need to take control of their psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis, while increasing research to find a cure. Guest Speaker: Dr. Michael Lin
Michael Lin, MD is a California-licensed physician and board-certified dermatologist. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology, Adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Southern California, and Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. Over the past 16 years, Dr. Lin has expanded his practice to 4 locations in Los Angeles including Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, Oxnard and Valencia.
Dr. Lin is a passionate supporter of the NPF having donated and participated in the Team NPF 5k walk to do his part to find a cure for his patients and staff members. Dr. Lin treats all types of skin conditions, from medical conditions such as skin cancer and acne to cosmetic concerns such as wrinkles. In addition to being the founder of the Advance Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute he recently launched Dr. Lin Skincare, a new acne clarifying system available in Ulta that he developed out of his personal struggle with acne as a young adult.
His mission is to provide the best non-prescription medication at an affordable price so everyone has access to transformational skincare treatment.
