February 3, 2025 – Alexandria, Virginia
Today, National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is excited to open applications for Future Leaders in Psoriatic Disease. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
Future Leaders in Psoriatic Disease, formerly known as the Dermatology Residents' and Rheumatology Fellows' Meeting, was founded in 1999 by Mark G. Lebwohl, M.D., of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and chair emeritus of the NPF medical board. Now in its 27th year, this esteemed event brings together dermatology residents and rheumatology fellows for an intensive two-day program, focused on the latest advancements in treating and managing psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Acceptance to attend this meeting is competitive and reflective of high standards of excellence.
The Future Leaders in Psoriatic Disease event features evidence-based sessions led by top experts in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The meeting's agenda features networking and cross-disciplinary training aimed to equip dermatology residents with advanced skills for screening and managing psoriatic arthritis, while providing rheumatology fellows with comprehensive insights into managing the skin manifestations of psoriatic disease. This year’s meeting is chaired by Wilson Liao, M.D., University of California, San Francisco, Dermatology Co-Chair, and Alexis Odgie, M.D., MSCE, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Rheumatology Co-Chair.
“For over 26 years, this event has propelled the careers of many dermatologists who have become leaders in the field of psoriasis,” said Leah M. Howard, J.D., President and CEO of NPF. “We believe that renaming this event further signifies this to the medical community and enables NPF to grow this meeting and extend its impact – especially as we continue to educate future rheumatologists, in addition to dermatologists.”
Applications are open now for this dynamic two-day program and are due by June 16, 2025. Stipends for non-local travel are available. Applicants will be notified of selection decisions by July 1, 2025. To learn more about this event, please visit: psoriasis.org/future-leaders-in-psoriatic-disease/
