Corporate Partners > Seal of Recognition Program

Benefits to Manufacturers

The National Psoriasis Foundation's exciting new Seal Program highlights products that can be used to aid in the management of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The Seal of Recognition signifies that a product formulation has been reviewed by a panel of experts in psoriatic diseases.

The program's objective is to further the Psoriasis Foundation's mission to improve the quality of life for people who live with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The following product categories can apply for the National Psoriasis Foundation Seal of Recognition: personal care products, household products, fabrics and devices.

All manufacturers will have to follow the National Psoriasis Foundation's guidelines for product disclaimers on all marketing materials, including packaging and other uses.

Earning a Seal of Recognition:

  • Provides a manufacturer the opportunity to collaborate with the world's largest patient advocacy organization dedicated to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
  • Provides the opportunity to reach an estimated 7.5 million Americans and 125 million people worldwide interested in products that can assist them with managing psoriatic disease, a chronic autoimmune disease for which there is no cure.

How to become a National Psoriasis Foundation Seal Partner
The product(s) must be reviewed by the National Psoriasis Foundation's scientific advisory council. Composed of dermatologists and other health experts, the panel will verify that the product formulation will not cause any adverse reactions. Once the review is complete, we will notify the applicant of the results.

If the program is accepted, the manufacturer will be granted permission to use the seal for a two-year period. The Psoriasis Foundation's corporate relations manager will work with the applicant to provide the program Seal and develop program-related opportunities.

The National Psoriasis Foundation, its board of trustees and the medical advisory board may not give cash or other items of value or personal service to: (a) people receiving benefits or services from the Psoriasis Foundation, or (b) any person or entity performing or seeking to perform services under contract with the Psoriasis Foundation, or (c) persons who are otherwise in a position to benefit from the actions of any Affected Person involved with the Psoriasis Foundation.

Affected Persons may not accept Gratuities (as defined below) from: (a) people receiving benefits or services from the Psoriasis Foundation, or (b) any person or entity performing or seeking to perform services under contract with the Psoriasis Foundation, or (c) persons who are otherwise in a position to benefit from the actions of any Affected Person involved with the Psoriasis Foundation. However, the restrictions in this paragraph shall not apply to any Gratuities from a business acquaintance as a result of an existing business relationship, but only if each of such Gratuities is of a modest or nominal value (less than $100), and there is no direct or indirect connection between the Gratuities and any transaction with the Psoriasis Foundation.

Gratuities are defined as cash, meals, drinks, gifts, expenses or any other item of value, including personal service. Expenses for meals as part of a seminar, convention or business meeting and customary holiday gifts given to Psoriasis Foundation employees as a group are not within the definition of Gratuities for the purposes of this policy. If the product is accepted as beneficial for a psoriasis patient, the sponsor will sign a two-year contract. The Psoriasis Foundation's corporate relations manager will work with the applicant to provide the program Seal and develop program-related opportunities.
