Challenge discrimination

How we can help

The National Psoriasis Foundation believes that most cases of discrimination toward people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are based on lack of awareness and misunderstanding, not malice, and part of our mission is to raise awareness of these diseases.

When you have been discriminated against due to your psoriasis, a simple letter explaining the basic facts about these diseases can often resolve the problem. Providing the business or service where you experienced discrimination with the opportunity to learn more about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis is often helpful. This may also increase the likelihood that others with psoriasis will not be discriminated against in the future.
