Alyssa

Alyssa likes soccer and ballet. She developed psoriasis when she was in sixth grade. In seventh grade, she developed psoriatic arthritis. Alyssa helps others by sharing her story and by participating in the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Dallas and Capitol Hill Day. Now, she lends her name to Alyssa's Fund, a National Psoriasis Foundation initiative which aims to raise $1 million for research!

Ami

Ami is 8 and first developed psoriasis when she was 4. Ami loves to play with her animals, on her zip line and with her two sisters. She also loves to sing anywhere and anytime she can. Ami has given presentations to her class to help educate them about psoriasis. Last year, Ami formed the 14 person team "Ami's Angels" for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Portland and this year will be the Youth Ambassador! Ami is friendly and energetic and is passionate about educating others about psoriasis—she's excited to help find a cure!

Andy

Andy is 11 years old and was diagnosed with psoriasis when he was four and psoriatic arthritis in kindergarten. He is the Virtual Walk Youth Ambassador but he also raises money for the Arthritis Foundation and volunteers at the animal shelter—wow! In his free time, Andy likes to play video games and play with his cat, Bentley.

Ashley

Ashley enjoys basketball, gymnastics, swimming, and playing the flute. She was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2009. She is the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Cleveland. Ashley gave a speech at the walk to share her story of how she deals with psoriasis. She has also encouraged her school nurse to teach her class about psoriasis.

Clarissa

Clarissa has had psoriasis since she was four. This year she was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in the spine. She has participated in Capitol Hill Day and led a team in the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Philadelphia. She was a youth mentor at the 2009 Volunteer Leadership Conference. Now she wants to help educate others about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. She wants you to know that your skin doesn't make you who you are.

Daven

Daven is a swimmer who likes to color and ride his scooter. His favorite foods are sushi and seafood. He is the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in San Francisco. He is 6 years old and has had psoriasis since he was 2. He goes to the San Francisco Walk with his family to help find a cure for psoriasis.

Emily

Emily likes ballet, playing soccer, and making up plays with her sisters. She is eight and was diagnosed with psoriasis a couple of years ago. She has been sharing presentations about psoriasis with classes at her school. She thinks it's great when people understand her disease. Emily led a team at the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Salt Lake City.

Hannah

Hannah is 7 and was diagnosed last year with psoriasis. She enjoys riding her bike and playing with friends. Hannah raises awareness by walking in the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Kansas City. This will be her second year attending the walk, and her first as the co-Youth Ambassador. Hannah really wants to help find a cure so that other kids will not have to go through the pain of psoriasis.

Jacob C.

Jacob is a boy scout, a musician and a magician. He developed psoriasis when he was six. He's come to two National Psoriasis Foundation conferences and even spoke in 2009. Jake and his mom taught his classmates all about psoriasis, and he is a youth ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Dallas.

Jacob L.

Jacob is twelve and was diagnosed with psoriasis when he was nine. He is very open with others about his condition. He wants to get the word out about psoriasis so other people won't have to wait so long for a correct diagnosis and treatment. This is why he became the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Tampa.

Katelyn and Carly

Meet Katelyn and Carly! The sisters each developed psoriasis three years ago after having strep infections. Since then, they've gotten very involved in helping to find a cure, along with their parents. They've visited lawmakers in Washington, D.C., gone to a National Conference, and they were the ambassadors for the very first Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Philadelphia.

Kate

Kate is 11 and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has tried many different types of treatment since she was diagnosed with psoriasis. It has been a long road for Kate, but she has smiled through it all and continues to fight! Kate has been able to meet other kids and share her story at the National Volunteer Leadership Conference. It's very important to Kate to help find a cure so she is the youth ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Salt Lake City and is the face of that walk!

Kathryn

Kathryn was diagnosed with psoriasis when she was seven years old. She is interested in bike riding, girl scouts, reading, and spending time with her dog, Ranger. She attended the 2008 Capitol Hill Day, the 2008 and 2009 National Conferences and she served as the Youth Ambassador for the 2010 Walk to Cure Psoriasis in St. Louis.

Mackenzie

Mac is nine and was diagnosed with psoriasis when he was five. Mac likes scouting, snowboarding, skateboarding, bike riding, camping, reading books, math and science, playing soccer, kickball, and video games. He wants everyone to feel and look better. Mac raises awareness by talking about psoriasis. He is the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in New York.

Mathias

Mathias is six. He loves to play baseball, soccer, tennis, and downhill skiing. He likes adventures and playing with his friends. He was diagnosed with psoriasis when he was four. He is helping to find a cure by being a Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Seattle. He is hopeful that a cure will be found for psoriasis.

Melanie

Melanie is 11 and has had psoriasis since infancy. Last year she was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. She has played soccer for six years, is a Girl Scout, and loves reading, math, animals and flying with her grandpa in his single engine plane. Melanie is proactive when it comes to spreading awareness about psoriasis. She often explains psoriasis to new friends before they even ask and has stood in front of her class and answered questions. Last year she headed Team Melanie and this year she is serving as the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Denver.

Morgan

Morgan enjoys reading, being a cheerleader and a violinist. Morgan has had psoriasis since she was six. She wants to find a cure, so she has participated in the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Dallas as a Youth Ambassador for the last 2 years. She has also spoken at corporate and National Psoriasis Foundation sponsored events to help fundraise.

Nickolette

Nickolette is 14 years old; she was diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of seven and also has psoriatic arthritis. She has had every type of psoriasis and tried almost every type of treatment: topicals, light therapy, methotrexate, Enbrel, and now Humira. Nickolette is helping find a cure for psoriasis by reaching out in her local community for donations and by recruiting team members to join her at the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in New York, for which she is one of the Youth Ambassadors!

Sean

Sean is 8 years old and is in second grade. He has palmar-plantar and nail psoriasis and was diagnosed when he was 3. Sean wrote a book about psoriasis with his cousin titled, "Psoriasis—A practical guide for kids" which he has read to his classmates at school. He won the 2010 National Psoriasis Foundation drawing competition and he is a youth ambassador for the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in Raleigh. Sean has walked door to door asking for donations and that has helped him be one of the biggest fundraisers in Raleigh. He is determined to find a cure!
