Below are answers to commonly asked questions about online accounts with the National Psoriasis Foundation.

How do I become a member?

The fastest way to join is by clicking the "JOIN" link in the upper left corner of any page. Then, click the "Join Now" button to sign up online. Please be sure to fill in all of the required fields. These fields are marked with a red asterisk.

If you prefer, you can become a member via telephone by calling 800.723.9166, or through the mail by requesting one of our donation envelopes (please e-mail member@psoriasis.org your full mailing address for this method).

How much is membership?

The average donation for membership is $35. That said, we encourage you to give a donation at an amount with which you feel comfortable.

Your materials say I do not have to become a member to register for the message board, but the registration form cannot be completed without a donation. How do I register for the message board without making a donation?

There are two forms; one for membership and one for free online account registration. To register without making a membership donation, click on the "Create an account" link at the top of any page on the site.

Please consider becoming a member. Members support the messages board and other important programs and services, which benefit the psoriasis community.

How do I log on to the www.psoriasis.org site?

Enter your username and password in the boxes at the top of the page, then click the "LOG IN" button. Note that both the username and password are case-sensitive, meaning that they must be typed exactly the same way as when you set up your account.

Can I renew my membership online? How?

Yes, you can renew online. First log on to the Web site, then click the "Renew Membership" link at the top of the page.

How do I change my personal account information (username, password, e-mail address, mailing address, etc.)?

Log on to the Web site and click on the "My Info" link that appears at the top of the page. Note: your username can not be changed once your account is created; all other account information can be modified.

I recently renewed my membership. Why does my status still show as expired or soon to expire?

If you renewed by phone or mail, it may take 1-5 days for your renewal to be reflected online. If your status does not update within a week, contact member services at 800.723.9166 or member@psoriasis.org. If you renewed online, your membership status should update immediately.

I was sent an activation code when I became a member years ago. When I try to activate my account it says that the code has expired. Why is it expired? My membership is current.

The activation code system is no longer in use. Please contact member services at 800.723.9166 or member@psoriasis.org to activate your account.
