National Psoriasis Foundation partners with national television programs to expand awareness of psoriasis

National Psoriasis Foundation recently partnered with the Art of Living with Marilu Henner, and Inside Business with Fred Thompson, to expand education and awareness about psoriasis, one of the most prevalent autoimmune diseases in the
United States.

As leaders in the educational television genre, The Art of Living and Inside Business are working with the National Psoriasis Foundation, to provide viewers across the country with expert-driven information about the disease.

"This new strategic partnership with the National Psoriasis Foundation will bring heightened awareness to psoriasis, a disease that affects so many Americans," said Jim Nicholas, Vice President of Production for The Art of Living and Inside Business. "Together, we will provide viewers with information related to the non-contagious, chronic, painful and disabling genetic disease for which there is currently no cure."

Leading dermatologist, Dr. Mark Lebwohl, Chairman of the National Psoriasis Foundation Medical Board and Professor & Chairman of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, will address such topics as the types and causes of psoriasis, how the disease affects children and adults, treatments available, improving the quality of life of those who are affected, and the latest in psoriasis research.

Filming is scheduled for early fall 2009.
